For authors
Find readers here. Keep selling on Amazon.
FreeLibrary.ai isn't instead of KDP. It's where readers discover you first: free to publish, no exclusivity, and built to send readers on to wherever you sell.
Safe for Kindle Unlimited
In KDP Select? Share up to 10% of your book as a free sample, the share Select allows elsewhere, with a button to buy the rest on Amazon.
Serials, chapter by chapter
Post as you write, or schedule chapters ahead. Readers who follow you get an email when a new one is out. Amazon no longer has a serial format.
Live in minutes
Upload a Word, EPUB or text file and your book is on the shelves straight away. No review queue and no weekly title limit.
Know your readers
See how far readers get, chapter by chapter, read comments on single paragraphs, and post updates to the people who follow you.
AI welcome, openly
Every book carries an honest label, from "Written without AI" to "AI-generated, author-directed". Nobody has to hide how they write.
Free, and yours
Free to publish and to read. You keep every right, and you can hide or remove your book whenever you like.

Be one of the first authors on the shelves.
FreeLibrary.ai opened in October 2026. The first books here are the ones readers will find first, on the home page, in each genre and in search. The first 50 authors get a ★ Founding author badge on their books and author page, for good. Short stories are welcome too.
