The Dragon's Glassblower
Ione Varesca is three months behind on her furnace lease and too proud to ask anyone for help. Then a stranger lays his bare hand inside her white-hot furnace, pays in ancient gold, and orders a cradle for the last dragon egg on Kalyth. Every vessel cracks, the mountain is going cold, and a charming mainland collector has offered Ione her workshop outright, if she'll tell him where the dragon sleeps.
